The Hotel Bitacora is located in what many considers being the best part of the sunny Playa de las Americas in the South of Tenerife. It is located less than half a mile from the beach and less than a mile from the 18-hole Golf Club Las Americas. Which is the nearest airport? Reina Sofia airport, which is located just 14 miles away from the hotel. However, it is true that when you are here you would wish the island didn't have an airport at all.

14.05.06 - Hotel Bitacora location

Paul wrote... The closest beach is around 15 minutes walk away from the hotel but it is totally enclosed by a "breakwater" built from rocks and so there are no waves at all. The hotel website and its brochure says that the nearest beach is at "350 metres" (less than a quarter mile from the hotel) ... it is but it is a "rocky" beach and not "sandy". Not really nice. You need to walk a bit further to arrive to a nice one.
