Tenerife in the Canary Islands
Tenerife is the island of eternal Spring ... Tenerife is the paradise island ... Tenerife is the best place to retire ... blah blah blah ... this is what you have probably heard about Tenerife from someone somewhere. If you’ve been to Tenerife you know what kind of treasures this island has to offer (other than the universal "lovely" modern phenomenon of daily rush hours in the capital of Tenerife, Santa Cruz!). But where is Tenerife? If you haven’t been there it is hard for you to really believe why an island in the middle of the ocean could be so much praised. But just realize it: you are in tropics but you are still in Spain and so in Europe; you are on an island but you can experience dozens of differing climates and impressive landscapes; you are in Tenerife Playa de las Americas with 86F (30C)
but you can also be on the snow at 12198ft (3718 m) with 23F (–5C)
. This unique island is one of the few places in the world where you can decide the weather you’d like to have for the day in a matter of an hour's drive or less. If today in the North the weather is cloudy and rainy, you can just go to the South and enjoy a warm sun and a blue sky. Is it too hot at the beach? Just have a walk in the pine-trees forest above the Orotava and remember to bring a sweater!
Tenerife offers many more things other than great weather, beaches and impressive landscapes. It also offers attractions like the Carnival
, the Loro Parque and its shows
, the Camel Park, the Aguilas Jungle Park
, the Aqualand
, the Whale Watching Safari
and not to forget to mention the Teide National Park
, Tenerife's most visited tourist attraction. Okay, no more blah blah blah: Tenerife is truly an island to discover! If you would like to read something more before going to bed, print the tourist information brochure booklet about Tenerife brought to you by Turespaña (the Spain National Tourism Authority).
Now a simple question: where would you stay if you come to Tenerife (Spain)? You don't have to worry. Tenerife offers not only leading hotel accommodations (the average age of the hotels in Tenerife is less than 20 years old!) but also property types that will probably fit your individual needs and desires. But here comes the problem: due to the tourism boom that the island experienced in the last decades, there are plenty of property and accommodation choices. Thus, our primary goal with our guide about Tenerife is to give you a careful analysis of each property so that you can find the one that best fits your needs and you can make an easier and more informed decision. Moreover, together with the property analysis we highly recommend you to use your Tenerife forum (I said "your" because the forum is litterally in "your hands" for you to use as an additional important tool to make your decision). This is a forum where the only prerequisite is to have an interest towards Tenerife. Just the fact that you are surfing this website makes you eligible, right? Here you can post comments, read advises, suggest ideas or just share your experiences with a community of people having your same interests (no need to become a member: the forum is open to anyone wanting to join and willing to write useful and non-offensive material about Tenerife).
So, are you ready to start? We wish you a happy and productive surfing in finding what you need!
Just one final note - Bear in mind that we have just started with our business and there are still few properties in our database. Our goal is to insert as many properties as possible so that you have a comprehensive overview of available properties in the island. However, if you like our guide, please use our forum to add your comments and questions and don’t forget to tell your friends about it! Thanks!
